The Phoenix Children’s Foundation Carried out a charity Street collection in Amersham and Chesham on the 5th of July where we were also able to present to the Bank Farm Group For the riding for the disabled the desired riding boots that they needed.

These are just some of the boots that were donated. We hope that the rosette was won with our boots when the rider won his. We are hoping to donate some riding tackle to the riding group as soon as they have received their new pony with the recent collection.

During April and May 2008 our volunteers were in Ashby and Brigg. They Stood with the ponies having been issued with permits by the local Council to carry out street collections.
With the proceeds we were able to fulfill the request to provide 15 riding hats for the North Ferraby Riding for the Disabled Group, and on the 22nd May we presented Amanda May of the Organisation with these hats.

Francis House Hospice is a place where terminally ill children and their families can escape to in very difficult times. It is totally funded by voluntary donations and we at Phoenix had a wonderful day fundraising locally to enable us to donate to the Hospice. The people of Ashton and Droylsden gave generously and we managed to raise £655. We hope to donate to Francis house again, so with this in mind we shall be organizing another fun day during the summer.

Sue Ryder is a hospice based charity in its own right; they support families with terminally ill people and people with brain injuries. We as a charity donated money, enabling them to buy air splints and cushions. We have supported fundraising at Bishops Palace in Eley, and we would like to thank them for allowing us to park on their premises and hope to visit them again soon with the ponies as the staff and residents were so nice last time we attended.
West Gate School for Special Needs, we donated the money for them to purchase toys for their Toy Library.
Nottingham Multiple Sclerosis Centre was happy to accept our donation of 1,820 which enabled them to buy new oxygen masks for their children. The masks are needed when the children attend for treatment in the Hyperbaric ~ chamber, which help with the symptoms of cerebral palsy.
The Oxygen bank is a bit of a daunting place for young children but the parents are allowed to enter and play with the children whilst they have treatment. To everyone who donated to the Society their thanks are with you all.
Here are the ponies with Mr. James Derry, (astride one of the ponies) who made a substantial donation - Many thanks Mr Derry !
We had a fantastic day at Nottingham race course, raising over £800 on behalf of Nottingham MS society.
The Phoenix Children’s Foundation has chosen Riding for the Disabled as one of the projects we would like to support. RDA was established in 1967 and now has 500 member groups providing riding and driving for over 25,000 members made.... read on
